Christmas reminders from the PTFA
In the absence of a Christmas fayre this year, the PTFA have been busily arranging some alternative Christmas events for your children to enjoy, while supporting the school to raise funds for more outdoor play equipment ready for the Spring:;
- Buy your Christmas tree or holly Wreath through us and it will be delivered to school for you on Friday 4th December for collection. Supporting a local business and with profits going back into the school – what can be better? The trees have always been great quality and last really well. Go to www.pta-events.co.uk/southlake-ptfa by 9pm Wednesday 2nd December.
- Buy some stocking fillers or a lucky bag in our online sale. Lucky bags are very popular with primary age children and can be purchased for just £3. The goods in the bag are to the value of £3-4 and are all prizes your children would have come home with from the Christmas fayre if it was on. You can collect these from the PTFA shed (wrapped so the children will not know what they are) on Thursday 10th or Friday 11th December. Go to www.pta-events.co.uk/southlake-ptfa by 9pm Wednesday 9th December
- Your Family and children can enjoy searching for the houses displaying snowflakes in our Snowflake trail. The maps will be available and emailed to you from 9th December.
Go to www.pta-events.co.uk/southlake-ptfa from Wednesday 9th December your map for just £2. - And this week we have launched the Winter “loose change challenge”. Each year group will have a beautifully decorated plastic bottle to fill with lose UK coins from home. The children will put the money straight into the bottle and they can watch the volume grow. Each class receives a treat when the bottle is filled. As you are unable to spend coins in many places at the moment now is a good time to dig around at home, in your bag and in your glove box then send the coins into school with your children. This will also run through January so why not ask Father Christmas to pop some coins in your children’s stocking with a note for them to donate to school? Just an idea.
Lets all join together this Christmas, all be it at a distance, and support the school with Christmas Cheer to send us all into 2021 .
